Venus Optics has provided macro photographers another unusual lens that expands the capability for extreme imaging. Previously, most macro lenses produced maximum magnifications of 1:1 or life size,occasionally to 2X. The LAOWA Extreme Macro Lens now expands that range to 5.0X. The lens is also available for most popular camera model’s lens mounts.
This macro lens is a high-quality optic and is specified for close-up imaging at magnifications from 2.5X-5X (2.5:1 to 5:1) life size. It is a manual focus lens, allowing precise control over its focusing distances. This lens has built-in varying extension tubes and an aperture ring.
Due to this lens’s capabilities, it can be used indoors or outdoors for professional or leisure macro photography. It should be used on a tripod or stand for optimal results. It was specifically designed with an extended working distance allowing more room for light to illuminate the subject sufficiently.
